In my monthly income reports, I will take you behind the scenes of my online businesses and show you how much I made last month, as well as how I focused my time and what I worked on in growing my blogs.
This report is a little bit later than I intended to get it out, but October ended up being a very good month. Not in terms of income (although it was another $20K month), but because our son arrived a couple of weeks early!
While we were happy to welcome our second little one into our family, I did have to put a lot of planned work on hold (which, obviously, was completely okay!)
For starters, the free course I was planning on launching was delayed yet again. I had originally planned to launch it at the beginning of September… then it got pushed back to the end of October. But when the baby came, the later October release went out the window.
The good news, though, is that in the beginning of November I sat down and focused solely on finishing the course. And, I can proudly say that the course is now finished!
So, if you’ve been waiting to take the course, it is now open for registration.
Aside from the course, my other main goals for October were to start outsourcing certain aspects of my system as well as to continue having new buyer’s guides created for my niche sites.
However, with the arrival of the baby, most of that got nixed. And, with November being such a busy month on my niche sites (with all of the Holiday shopping and the big days for sales) I’m only just now getting back into the swing of things.
In any case, our new baby took priority over anything work-related and now that we’re getting settled back into a routine, I can now start focusing more on the projects I had planned.
So, for this month’s report I want to keep it short, just so I can continue documenting my month-by-month progress.
My October 2016 Income Report
October saw a bit of an uptick compared to September. Perhaps the coolest part of October is that two of the guides that I had outsourced (which were part of the campaign to create 44 new guides based off of some keyword research I did on SEMRush), started earning me a significant monthly income.
In fact, in total, I spent about $300 to get those two guides created and in October alone, they combined to bring in an extra $1,600. That’s an insane return-on-investment, especially considering the fact that those guides will continue earning me at about that rate (or higher) for the foreseeable future.
And, technically, the increase in earnings from September to October could largely be attributed to those two guides.
So, my strategy is already paying off and now I just need to set out and finish creating the rest of the guides I have planned.
- Amazon.uk: £909.20
- Amazon.de: €341.03
- Amazon.fr: €192.95
- Amazon.it: €197.83
- Amazon.es: €89.35
- Total foreign: ~$2,003.34 (really depends on current exchange rates)
*NOTE: It wouldn’t be possible for me to make commission from foreign Amazon sites without a plugin like EasyAzon. I paid ~$49 for the plugin, and, as you can see, I have easily made the back and a lot more. I definitely recommend EasyAzon if you are running an Amazon-affiliate-based site.
- Amazon Private Label Products: $562.01
- Amazon Associates: $22,250.30
Total Net Income: $24,815.65 (+$2,098.70)
A Look at November
Since I’m writing this report so late into November, writing out my plan for the month seems a bit silly.
The thing with November is, that, this is typically the time of year when traffic and sales start to really increase. And, so while I have had a bunch of projects in the works for the past couple of months, in November I typically sit down and go through all of my current buyer’s guides and try to update as many of them as possible.
I also setup “Deal Tracker” pages on my websites, that are basically just a huge list of deals that are relevant to the niche of each of my websites. Then I send out emails to my newsletter with a link to my deal tracker.
This helps get a few extra sales for the month on my sites that have newsletters built up.
Ultimately, though, I kind of have to put my projects on hold for a bit longer so that I can prepare for Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the rest of the crazy Holiday shopping season.
I know this hasn’t been the most exciting of Income Reports, but I should return to a lengthier and more detailed report next month.
In any case, if you were looking forward to joining my course, it is now completely finished! You can signup here to learn more about my process for building a profitable niche site.
